Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I come from a really big family and I am one of the oldest, which made me the person to take care and watch the younger ones. I also was a lifeguard/swim instructor through LSSE for two years, working with kids ranging from three to twelve years old. Furthermore I also used to work at a childcare in the Hampshire Athletic Club for almost two and a half years. The ages ranged from six weeks to about eleven years old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing outdoors and exploring. I honestly really enjoy being hands on with most things the kids want to do and just be engaged in the activities that they like.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Most important thing to me about being a nanny is being able to watch these children grow. Seeing them learn about the world and themselves in real time is honestly a great thing to witness.
My experience with special needs children...
At my old childcare job I worked with a child with Angelman syndrome and a child with Down syndrome. Both children were nonverbal which meant I had to be very attentive and aware of what they needed. I had to give them all of most of my attention to make sure they were comfortable and safe at all times but I adored getting to know their needs and personalities.
