I am a 24 year old female. I have always loved working with children. As soon as I was able to begin assisting at the local preschool, I did. Between coming from a large family, and watching my family begin families of their own, I was knew that working with children would be in my future.
I have a bachelors degree in psychology, and one and a half years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. I believe that every individual, of any age, deserves the chance to learn everyday, and that there are many people who need the opportunity to be shown the patience towards their learning method.
I promote a lot of outdoor learning experiences and sensory play. I love working with younger children, age 0-3 years.

Hey there! I'm Hannah! I'm looking to provide nannying for kids of all ages, beginning this summer and the school year and breaks. Kids enter the world, like canvases filled with many colors, not the blank slates that society deems them to be and should be viewed as capable, intellectual individuals. Working with young people is my passion and is central to my collegiate work. Currently, I am a senior at Hampshire College where I am a resident advisor, concentrating on theatre for young audiences, early childhood & elementary education. As a tutor, mentor, and teaching assistant throughout the years, I've had the opportunity to work with younger children of many different backgrounds, engaging with them through a sense of play, confidence and individualism. I do not have a license but have reliable transportation and am happy to walk anywhere within walking distance.

I looked after Tristan (3), Ian (5), Charlie (8), Max (10). These were the most independent children I had ever taken care of before. We would film our own DIY cooking shows, take long bike rides to and from Northampton, work on homework, write stories and songs for fun, play pretend, make crafts, and other such things. The most exciting and challenging aspect of this job was mediating the relationship between all four siblings.

I looked after Cole (age 1), Sophia (3), and Jaden (8). I performed all the basic caretaking duties: made sure everyone had full bellies, changed diapers, got them off to school and down for naps, played, helped with homework, etc. We spent a good bit of time outside, and there I taught them about wild edible plants. Sometimes we would have impromptu quizzes matching leaves to their respective flowers. We also wrote songs together, and worked everyday on how to treat others with love and respect.

In 2009 I worked as a counselor-in-training at an overnight summer camp where I lived with groups of girls ranging from the ages of 9-13. I helped them a lot with waking up in the morning and going to bed, ate with them at meals, taught them classes, and hang out at night time. The following Summer I was hired as a mother's-helper where I would help with laundry, cooking, cleaning, running errands, as well as babysitting three girls (ages 3, 4 and 8). Later that year, I regularly babysat a 6 year old boy after school. I'd help him with homework, play with him, and cook him dinner. Beginning in the Fall of 2011 I worked at a children's discovery farm called xx. I worked here until 2014. Here, I would teach children (and their families) about farm animals and even allowed them to assist in holding, feeding, and milking them. In between, I have babysat occasionally for people in my neighborhood, and for family members, a lot of whom have infants. At my university, I work with a group of high school students that have developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.

Hi! My name is Marissa and I am a 20-year-old junior public health major at UMass. I am also from Pembroke. I have been babysitting ever since junior high and I absolutely love it! First I started off babysitting kids in my neighborhood and family friends. I kept meeting more and more families. I started using care.com, sittercity.com and this website in 2011 and met my first family in Pembroke that I babysat for a couple of months. The girl was 4 years old and the boy was 7 years old. I got them off of the bus, made sure homework got done, and played games. After that I babysat three girls ages 10, 9, and 8 during the school year and in the summer. I picked the girls up from school, made sure homework got done, and played games. Over the summer I babysat them on the beach. We just hung out, tanned and swan it was really fun! I babysit for a few families for occasional date nights as well. During the fall semester I watched twin 4-year-old boys after school 2 days a week.
