Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My career working with babies and toddlers began here in the NW where I worked as a nanny in the late 1990's. Since then I have worked in both public and private schools teaching preschool-middle school grades.
What I love most about being with babies and children is learning how they see the world. Learning how to communicate with a young human being and helping them learn to express their needs and thoughts with confidence, dignity, and joy is skill I have and is apart of my unique skill set.
Working with and in families to support their health and bring greater peace into their lives, has given me a sense of purpose to my work and life.
Babies and children grow up faster than we will ever realize until the time has passed. I try to remember this in every action and conversation shared with every young and old human I meet.

I grew up with a sister who has special needs. I am her younger sister, having a sister with special needs has given me a lot of perspective and practice in the need to listen while communicating.
