Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I helped raise my 6 younger siblings, so I know exactly how to keep a big family fed, happy, and alive. I also have a huge heart for specialized care, I’ve spent some time looking after two non-verbal boys on the autism spectrum and it wasn't as challenging as most think, I skip the rigid parenting handbooks and focus on patience, routines, and making kids feel safe and understood.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m not a strict, by-the-book babysitter, I like to bring the fun while maintaining boundaries. Growing up with 6 younger siblings means I can handle a chaotic house with total ease, and I do this by leaning into imagination. On any given day, I’ll be hosting tea parties, singing and dancing around the living room, planting things in the garden, or cooking up messy, fun snacks with the kids. I focus on patience, creativity, and making sure kids feel completely safe, understood, and entertained.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping them safe! Also giving them a safe space to feel loved and heard, I love the balance of structure and safety while allowing them to be free and creative.

My experience with special needs children...

I've cared for two different non-verbal autistic boys, one for a 9 month period and another for 3 months. This time taught me how to adapt under pressure. I am good at knowing their needs through non-verbal cues and managing sensory triggers before they cause stress. I maintain a very consistent, structured environment because boundaries keep things calm, but I always bring joy into their day through patient, creative activities like gardening and a movie.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment would have to be when I had my brother give me his old WII, we used to play as kids all the time and introducing it to the kids was honestly wonderful! We chose Just Dance and got to dance and sing. It was a completely new and fun experience for them and for me as well because I got to relive my childhood.
