The most important part about being a nanny...
Is ensuring you're making a safe and loving environment for the kid to comfortably learn and grow. It's hard to be away from Mom/Dad, but having another person who the kid can see genuinely cares definitely helps. As a nanny I would support not only the child/children, but the family as well.
My experience with special needs children...
In my classroom at the child development center I worked with a handful of special needs children, some with Autism, special speech and behavior needs, and some with mental delays that just needed a bit of extra support.
