More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked as a babysitter for two different children, an assistant teacher at two after-school programs for pre-kindergarten to middle school, and an assistant teacher in an all-day care program for infants up to three-year-olds.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing STEM and sensory activities, and if a child has a favorite book, animal, or song, I like to incorporate that into the activities. Of course, I also love to do arts and crafts with them. Throughout all these activities, I make sure to ask questions to help them learn while still having fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with the children and their family. At the heart of this role is the ability to provide consistent care, emotional support, and a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow and thrive. A great nanny is not just someone who watches children—they become a role model, a source of comfort, and often an extension of the family. This connection allows the nanny to truly understand each child’s unique needs, personalities, and routines, which helps foster their development socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Trust, patience, and genuine love for children are what make this work both meaningful and impactful.
My experience with special needs children...
I have some experience working with special needs children from my current job, but I am not very comfortable working alone with them in a home setting.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the sweetest moments I had while babysitting was with a 2-year-old little girl I was caring for. We were cleaning up her toys together, and I accidentally bumped my head on the corner of a shelf. It wasn’t anything serious, but I said “ouch” without thinking. She stopped right away, looked up at me with the most serious little face, and asked, “You got a boo boo?” Then she leaned in and blew me a kiss to make it better. What made it even more special was that any time she got hurt—even a tiny bump—I would always blow her a kiss to help her feel better. That moment really showed me how much little ones pay attention and how they remember the small things we do to show we care.
