I can't say I've spent a whole lot of time with children that are special needs. But I am very familiar with young adults with special needs. My mother worked with special needs while I was growing up. So I understand different conditions and I am comfortable with it.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It's hard to pinpoint a particular favorite moment. I am happiest when I know the children I care for are happy, healthy and thriving and their parents or guardians are relaxed and happy knowing their child or children are in safe hands. Then I know I'm doing my job right.
