As of now, I work in customer service but most of my past work experience is involved with in-home care. I have tons of experience babysitting younger children but mostly just for close friends and family. I absolutely adore children and due to having none of my own.. Its an absolute joy to work with them. I am very hands on with the children and enjoy playing with them, taking them to the park (if allowed by parents) and helping them learn and experience daily life but also willing to follow all guidelines set forth by the parents. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a candy striper volunteer at the hospital when I was in 6th grade and worked with many children through my years volunteering there.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Fishing, Reading, Walks, Museums, Parks, Helping with Homework, Making flashcards to study, Arts and Crafts, Board Games, Zoo, Yardwork, Chores, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to help the children learn, grow, and most importantly be safe while they are out of their parents care. Also making the parents be able to relax and feel confident in know their children are safe and in good hands.
And you just cant beat the natural innocence of a child and watching them try new things and have fun, it helps relieve stress and helps depression.

I have babysat for a beautiful young girl by the name of Emily who had down syndrome and the was an absolute joy!

When Athena and her Mom picked me up so I could come visit and she grabbed ahold of my hand and held it the entire hour and a half car ride because she had missed me and didnt want me to leave again so soon. Melted my heart.
