I am currently employed by a family with 2 boys (4 & 7 yrs old. I started when the boys were 1 and 4 yrs old). They are great kids. The 7 yr old is autistic and both have had early intervention. My day consists of waking the boys up, get them ready for school, and then drive them to school as well as various other appointments, schools and activities. I interact with many therapists, Drs. teachers, coaches, etc. I am responsible for not only the children arriving on time, but also various items (computer devices, eye glasses, lunch bags, backpacks, etc.) to arrive in tact regardless of weather. I am responsible for their nutritional needs including various vitamins and supplements. I have been very envolved with potty training and teaching the boys proper hygiene. I have been very instrumental in teaching both boys how to swim. I encouraged the family to purchase a playset to help with their motor development and confidence. This has been very successful because we go to various playgrounds to interact with other children while feeling very confident. In addition to all that I do with and for the children, I also feed two dogs and give them their meds as well as help to manage a 6,000 sq ft. house including houekeepers, landscapers, dog groomers, handymen, contractors etc. I also schedule appointments for therapists and teachers that come to the house. Toward the end of my day, I pick up the boys from school, and drive to whatever therapy or activity scheduled for that particuliar day, and then bring the boys home, change them into their play clothes and feed them. My day ends when the lady of the house returns from her employment.
