Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience caring for kids and teens in a variety of settings, including summer camps, community programs, and personal nannying. I’ve worked with children at places like Camp Ramapo for Children in New York, the Boys & Girls Club, the Max Higbee Center, and Sprout Clubhouse, and I’m comfortable supporting different routines, communication styles, and emotions. I’m especially patient, calm, and flexible, and I do my best to meet kids where they’re at.
I enjoy spending time with kids through play and everyday activities like games, art, outdoor time, or just hanging out. I’m comfortable helping with homework, meals, transitions, and bedtime routines, and I focus on creating a safe and supportive environment. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and happy to follow family routines and preferences. My goal is for parents to feel at ease and for kids to feel comfortable and cared for!

I have extensive experience working with children who have special needs! I have experience working with children with special needs across multiple settings, including Sprout Clubhouse and Camp Ramapo for Children, as well as one-on-one babysitting with an autistic child. In these roles, I supported daily routines, communication differences, sensory needs, and emotional regulation in a patient and flexible way. I focus on meeting each child where they are, advocating for their needs, and creating an environment where they feel safe, respected, and understood. I also value working closely with families to ensure consistency, trust, and support both at home and in group settings.
