My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for a little boy, age 5, at our daycare and he has down syndrome. When I was first hired at the daycare it was specifically to work with him and help at our activities outside of the facility. Some of our activities included going to the swimming pool and going bowling. Everyday is a new adventure with him I absolutely love it.
