Hello! My name is Brenna, I am a 21 year old college student and I have a passion for children, animals and medicine. I was an infant and toddler teacher for 2 total years as well as currently I nanny a 6 month old boy. I’m available every wednesday, friday and every other weekend. I’m also perfectly fine with nanny-sharing but I currently nanny from my home so that would have to be ok with you! I love animals and I’m more than happy to hang with your fur babies as well. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked for Kindercare for about a year and I worked at MVCDC’s MET center for also about a year. At both facilities I was an Infant/Toddler Teacher. I did in-home nannying for a 1 year old girl for one summer (about 6 months).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing indoor and outdoor activity when the weather is allowed. In the past i’ve set up indoor games and activities, planned at home movie time (usually only 1 movie at a time to limit screen time) and various other age appropriate and engaging activities. I have even planned an outing after being with families for a time. For example, I took the little girl I nannied to the Boonshoft Museum because it is so child centered and educational as well as fun.

The most important part of childcare is making sure every child feels heard, safe, secure and loved.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment as a nanny was watching the child learn that it is ok to feel your emotions and it’s ok to express them. I love teaching kids how to safely and effectively communicate how they’re feeling, even before they can form sentences.
