It happened naturally as I was the oldest child by eight years. I was the one to care for my three siblings when my parents would leave the house. I've cared for newborn babies all the way to 15-16 year olds; at that age they pretty much take care of themselves. I've been a nanny/house manager for several years. I would run the kiddos to their sports practices, take them swimming, go on adventures, do arts and crafts with them, etc. I made sure we stayed busy, but also took time out to read and relax as well.
