I’ve had paid positions caring for children since I was 14 years old. I’ve had a couple of cello students over the years, and I’ve volunteered with children through church for years!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
With the kids I nannied for last summer our favorite things were going to the parks around town, going on nature walks, going to the trampoline park, and playing in the stream or river at some of the parks we would go to! We went on picnics and visited animal farms and pumpkin patches, and did a lot of crafts, dancing, and kids games when the weather wasn’t ideal outdoors. I like to keep occupied as much as the kids!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have a real heart for children–especially newborns and infants. I feel that having someone to take care of your children who will care for them as a son or daughter, encourage them, love them, is so important. I find so much joy being able to do that when parents have to be away from their own kids!
