Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have 6 children of my own. I have worked in a daycare center and have done private childcare for a family for over a year. I worked as a receptionist in a pediatrician's office, where I interacted with children from birth to 18. I volunteered for Spokane Public Schools and Girl Scouts and was also on the PTA board, where I was involved with many events. I currently work for Spokane Public Schools, and so I have done a full background check.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love crafts, reading, library trips, and going on walks, and I also enjoy anything that I can turn into a teaching moment.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is building a relationship with the children where they feel supported, safe, and cared for. In addition, building a relationship with the family as a whole, with open communication. And again, teaching kiddos through everyday interactions.
