Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes working as a lead teacher at a Reggio Emilia school, where I primarily cared for children ages two to three. I created lessons based on the children’s interests and questions, supported their daily routines, and helped establish a consistent nap schedule. I also planned outdoor lessons, encouraged learning through nature and play, and hosted several activities and events for parents and families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I especially enjoy sensory play and hands-on activities. In my previous classroom, we made sensory jars and sensory bags, and I created a sensory table that changed based on what the children were exploring that week. I also enjoy nature walks, collecting leaves and plants to use in art projects, drawing with chalk, reading, and spending time learning and playing outside.

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and dependable environment!
All children should feel comfortable being themselves, exploring their interests, and knowing they are cared for.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for a nonverbal child with cerebral palsy who used a G-tube for feedings. I was trained on how to safely connect and disconnect the feeding equipment and follow her established routine. I also worked with a child with autism who experienced sensory challenges and developmental delays. I supported the child through daily routines and potty training, and it was very rewarding to see their progress and eventually reach that goal.
