A little bit about me

I worked at New Story a school for kids with autism and other behavioral disorders from [phone number hidden] as a T.S.S. before I got married and moved to NJ. Babysat with ages ranging from newborn to 15 years old. I am certified in CPR and first aid and I was certified in babysitting advanced courses but that one expired but I have no problem getting certified again if needed. I currently work part time as a behavior tech while I complete my practicum to be a structured literacy specialist and babysit as needed until I find a family that is regular hours. I am looking for babysitting or nanny jobs I can do with my son with me. He is 8 and is well behaved and has come with me to babysit other families. I currently homeschool and plan to continue. I teach different ages at church on rotation every 8 weeks and teach at co op all different ages math and science teaching at co op one day a week. I normally charge 25-35 an hour. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I taught kids ages 4-6 at my church every Wednesday from [phone number hidden] and I worked in the nursery at church on Sundays with newborn to age 3 the same time period.

I have babysat for 3-5 days in a row all night and day for different families when they had work events to go to or a family event where kids could not go. I had one family (3 kids) for 4 days/nights in a row while parents had work event in another state. Another family (1 kid) for 7 days/nights while recovering from c-section.

I taught at homeschool co-op this year and last year 1-2 days a week ages 3-12 and I have helped the Den leader at scouts by leading lessons at meetings several times.

I am just glad to help whenever possible.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing many activities including crafts, playground, pool, outdoor fun, going on “day vacations”, reading stories, dancing and singing, and playing games.

The most important thing with any job working within children is safety but also knowing the kids are having fun and the parents get the help they need.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love when a kid gives me hugs or when we have been working on something (puzzle or talking or any milestone) and he/she “gets it” and I get to see that smile and be there for the “aha” moment! I love hearing kids get excited to see me and knowing I can bring joy to their life but also help them with homework and extracurriculars.
