The most important part about being a nanny is being a safe and positive presence in a child’s life. I always keep in mind that the care I provide should be a positive influence on a growing and developing child.
It’s also important that a mother and father can work away from home and feel comfortable and safe that their children are with a loving caregiver who is reliable and is a caring influence on their children.

I don’t have any experience with special needs children, but I am a retired critical care RN and open to learn and willing to try.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when the child I was caring for cried when I had to leave. It made me feel so good to know we had bonded and she felt safe with me. Her mom always told me that she would cry for me and missed me when I wasn’t caring for her.
