More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have volunteered with children in church, babysat for the past 5 years, and have worked full-time in nanny/mother's helper/housekeeping positions for the past 2 years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to be outside. Whether it's a day at the beach, exploring national parks, or spending the morning in the garden with the chickens, I think nothing is better for kids (... and adults) than to be outside and to be close to it. Early learning begins in nature! I have spent rainy or cold days inside and taught kids as young as 2 how to make cut-out cookies and decorate. My favorite activities to do inside with kiddos is build, make crafts, or cook.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Parenting is so incredibly hard. I was recently asked what the hardest job I have ever worked was, and I said nannying. I feel this way because it's such a small snippet of the full-time work that being a parent is. Knowing this has given me the goal to take as much as I can off the plate of the parents. When the parents are less stressed, it creates a healthier and happier environment for the children. And vice versa. It is equally important to make the children feel attended to and loved. My goal is to create fulfilling, safe childhoods, with warm bellies and bright eyes.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was a nanny in Virginia, right outside of D.C. There was a snowstorm coming, so I packed up and moved in for the weekend. The parents had to work from home the entire weekend, but the kiddos and I spent 2 days making cookies, building snowmen, having snowball fights, and drinking hot cocoa next to the fire. The greatest moment was that Sunday night, when we all fell asleep to an old Disney film, hot cocoa going cold, and our snow clothes dripping from the snow next to the fire. It was straight out of a Hallmark movie, haha. Moments like those make everything worth it.

Babysitter Available in Panama City, FL: Zoe S.
Hi, I’m Zoe! I’m 21 years old and currently earning my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at GCSC. Although I don’t have professional childcare experience yet, I’ve spent years helping care for younger children in my family and currently babysit regularly for friends and relatives, including children ages 2, 6, and 12. My background in the restaurant industry has given me strong communication, patience, and multitasking skills, but I’ve realized that working with children is what I truly enjoy. I’m excited to transition into a professional childcare role where I can provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment while helping children learn and grow.
