my name is Cortney, and I’ve been a nanny for 10+ years and have 20+ years of childcare experience. I moved to Richmond Virginia, six years ago, and I’ve been an Annie for three family cents. I’m currently working at the Goddard School and Mechanicsville, but I’m looking to go back to more one on one childcare.. so I have experience and teaching, lesson plans, and learning through play. I love sensory activities going on adventures, and making sure that you’re a little one is cared for the way you would want them to be when you’re not home. Being an extension of your family, and just, what’s best for the children? I watch, communication between parent and nanny is key. And I strive to make sure that my communication is above and beyond. Hi, my name is Cortney. I'm 37 years old and have been a nanny/in childcare since I was 17. I'm currently working at Goddard School Mechanicsville, but I'm looking to get back into one on one childcare. Infants are really my passion, but love to work with children of all ages. The last nanny family I had in Richmond started when she was just 10 months old, and I was with her until 2 1/2 years old. Her mother was in med school, VCU, and when she got her residency they moved.
I am passionate about what I do, I believe that is one of the most delicate jobs, you're trusting your child your most precious thing with somebody else while you are working. Communication is key, and I am willing to go above and beyond and communication, with as much or as little as a parent would like during your workday.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Sensory play.outings such as library story time. Romp and roll. The park. Etc. arts and crafts. Chalk. Bubbles. Reading. Singing. Dancing. I’m hands on and love to play and be creative even with infants!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I am passionate about kids and what I do. I truly believe that you are entrusting your most important thing with someone and it’s important to have communication. It’s such a joy for me to watch a child learn and grow snd develop.
