More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked for school districts (elementary schools) in a secretarial or health Clerk role. Followed by this I lead an after-school program for middle schoolers who needed help academic and otherwise for a non-profit organization. Most recently, I have been in the ABA field as a Registered behavior technician (2-6 year olds).
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy following the child in whatever interest they share. I enjoy seeing the child passionate over their favorite activities. I can be very physically active: trampoline, hopscotch, running, etc. I also work very well with timid children: playdoh, painting, sand, bracelet making, coloring masks, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is the children. I believe that the children's opinions on me are the most important, as they are the ones I'll be spending the day with and building a relationship with. I have been trained in ascent based training and apply that to all fields. I am very good at following what the client wants while also implement structure into their day.
My experience with special needs children...
I do have experience with neurodivergent children as I do come from the ABA field. My experience is mostly with children on the autism spectrum.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I actually have not been a Nanny in the past, but I would have to say one of my most memorable moments working with children has to be when my non verbal client was so excited she started to mumble, which was the first time we had her voice. Although they weren't words just yet, she was definitely on track!
