More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I grew up with two younger siblings, with big age gaps, and as the oldest sibling I spent a lot of time babysitting. Unlike other older siblings I loved it! My little brother is now 8 and he is my best buddy. I also worked with middle school students in High School for theater projects. I also work with whenyouwishevents.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Rainy day activities I enjoy doing with kids are pictionary, monopoly, bake cookies or make a cake, play with toys, and play the wii. These are just some of the things that the kids I babysit for like doing. I really like to focus on their imagination and build off of that.
As for outside activities it really depends on if there is a yard or how close we are to certain places. If we are close to a park and it’s not raining we are very likely to be going there! The kids I babysit love love love the park. There we play tag, lava monster, and hide and seek. If there is just a small space outside, we like to play with chalk, bubbles, and play catch.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny for me, is that the child feels safe. It is scary when mom and dad have to go away and a stranger comes and watches you. So I really strive to build connections, and the child isn’t scared but is excited for the babysitter to come over. It makes it easier for mom and dad too! So safety mentally for the child and of course physically. Making sure they aren’t getting into anything they shouldn’t and doing something that could hurt them. And really they should never be put in that position if they are being watched accordingly. Safety and trust I think are most important for me. Second would be having fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite babysitting moment was when we had a tea party. The kids got all dressed up in their fancy clothes and we made pb and j with the crust cut off, very fancy. The kids had a lot of fun and it was so special being able to make moments like that for them. And it was just a little tea party it wasn’t anything crazy, but they really enjoyed it, it reminded me how special it is being able to interact and create this moments with them that hopefully they will remember and look back on.

I am currently a freshman majoring in education and minoring in special education at the University of Oregon. I love kids and have babysat my own two siblings and other kids basically as long as I have been able to! Additionally, I graduated from and helped to develop a future educator program at my high school in my hometown in which I would frequently write lessons, and teach classes of students of all ages as volunteer and class work. I have been volunteering in special education classrooms since I was 12 and it is definitely something I am passionate about. I also worked as a summer school teacher in 2021. I currently hold another part time job as a barista and also have classes during the day so my availability definitely depends on the day and is subject to change periodically, however I am willing to work around schedules as best as I can!
