Most recently, I cared for a sweet little girl from when she was 2 months old until she turned 12 months. During that time, I was responsible for preparing and sterilizing bottles, keeping her play and sleep areas clean and organized, and following her nap and feeding routines with love and patience.

I’m a very nurturing, calm, and reliable person who truly enjoys spending time with babies — watching them grow, discover new things, and feel safe in my care. I always treat every baby as if they were my own, providing gentle care and comfort while maintaining structure and consistency.

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is building a safe, trusting, and nurturing relationship with each child. It’s not just about watching over them — it’s about truly showing up for them emotionally, supporting their growth, and making them feel seen, heard, and loved. Being a steady, positive presence in their lives means everything. It also means working closely with parents, respecting their values, and being part of the team that helps a child thrive. The little things — patience, kindness, consistency — make the biggest difference

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a 4-year-old I cared for proudly “read” me a story he had memorized, using his imagination to fill in the parts he didn’t remember. He insisted I sit in the reading chair while he turned the pages and used different voices for each character. It was such a sweet reminder of how kids thrive with encouragement and how small moments can build their confidence. We both ended up laughing so much, and it became our special weekly routine — “his turn” to read to me. Moments like that remind me why I love this job.
