More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In addition to my university studies, I’m the oldest of three sisters, and I’ve cared for my two younger cousins who are on the autism spectrum. I’ve also taken child development classes, which have deepened my understanding of different developmental stages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being active and creative with kids! Some activities I enjoy include arts and crafts, outdoor play, cooking, learning games, reading, homework help, imaginative play, and educational activities. I'm also perfectly happy to slow things down when needed and enjoy quiet time, sensory-friendly activities, or simply relaxing together. I enjoy adapting to each child's unique personality, interests, and needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and feel comfortable being themselves. Building trust with both children and their family through patience, communication, and consistency is something I value deeply.

Tessa M. - Seeking Work in Phoenix

Babysitter Available in Phoenix, AZ: Tessa M.

Hi, my name is Tessa and I have been a nanny/care provider and household manager for over 20 years. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages and tending to a wide variety of family needs. I am bilingual (German/English), have my BA in psychology and have done additional coursework and training in Applied Behavioral Development and Early Childhood Education. In addition to my work within the private sector, I have also worked with children in an instructional capacity, developing and teaching preschool curriculum and facilitating after-school arts/enrichment programs. I am also a mother of two (13 and 23), which, I feel, has only further enhanced my patience, problem-solving strategies & ability to connect with children and their parents alike. I approach every child with the same nurturing, sensitivity and attention to safety, as I would my own.

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in Phoenix, AZ: Temre D.

Hi, I’m Temre.
I’m a mom of three grown kids and have spent most of my life helping people in one way or another.
One thing I’ve realized is how much I miss having kids around. I miss the laughter, the funny conversations, and seeing the world through their eyes.
I’m calm, dependable, easy to talk to, and happy to jump in wherever help is needed. Whether that’s homework, rides, meals, pets, technology, or just being another steady adult in a child’s life.
I enjoy getting to know kids and finding out what makes them unique. Every child is different, and that’s part of the fun.
I believe in kindness, consistency, common sense, and clear communication. I follow parents’ lead, respect household routines, and keep families in the loop.
I’m CPR and First Aid certified, have reliable transportation, don’t smoke, and love animals. My goal is simple: help make life a little easier for the families I work with.
