I've been a teachers assistant for a middle school , worked at the boys and girls club, hosted Birthday parties for Children and volunteered with Church functions for young children and teenagers.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy playing educational and board games, arts and crafts inside, being outside and active with children, walks to parks, playing ball, tag or just piling leaves up, jumping in them, making snow figures and Angels, where there'd be snow and sand castles where'd there'd be sand. I also enjoy spending time in the kitchen teaching children (that are mature and capable enough) to cook and bake.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The safety of a child is in my hands and with that being said I hold on tightly.
My experience with special needs children...
I have spent time with Children and Adults whom has had mental and slight physical needs. I have the patience and kind heart to pay attention and help them. Communication is important with all children and even more so with special needs because it does take patience to listen not just hear them, work with them not instruct constantly.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have been fortunate to have jad so many special memories with children I've cared for. I was a live in nanny for a little girl with her Dad, from the age of 5-9. The smile on that baby girl's face when we were together I will cherish forever. Time enjoyed at Zoos, museums, carnivals, arcades, parks, walks, games, or just watching a good movie with popcorn, laughing together, I cherish. Unfortunately she moved away to live with her loving Mom full time.
