My name is Denaysha and I am 21 years old. I've took care of kids of various ages since I was 8 years old. Recently, I had gotten the amazing opportunity to work at a K-12 school. I've gained valuable experience and knowledge with kids in Pre-K , 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade so far. Additionally, I learned that I do well with the younger kids/babies rather than the older kids that are in 5th and up. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was the oldest kid in my group home back when I lived in Nashville TN. When their mom's would go to work or school, they would ask me to watch their kids while they were gone. During that time we would play outside in the playground, watch movies, and help each other out with our chores.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Most of the activities I love to do with my kids at school are fun and delicious easy to make recipes, creating arts and crafts, playing pretend at recess, singing, dancing, and overall teaching them how to be the best human they can be to their fellow peers.

My experience with special needs children...

My little brother who I cared for all of his life. When he was the age of 2 he got diagnosed with autism. Almost 11 years ago. I helped out my mom with him when she would go to work in the daytime. I made him his bottles, fed him, bathe him, change his diapers, and kept him entertained. The hardest part of it all was the destructive temper tantrums, esp in public. Constantly destroying all of his belongings, impulsive behaviors, the list goes on. Through all his milestones I've learned to have the upmost patience, to be gentle, and most importantly to be a good big sister!
