Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing activities with kids that are fun, creative, and a little educational. Some of my favorite things include playing board games like Candy Land or Uno, doing arts and crafts such as painting, coloring, or making collages, and building forts with blankets and pillows. I also enjoy freeze dance, storytime where we can act out the story or draw scenes, and simple educational games like scavenger hunts, alphabet or number games, and puzzles. Outside, I like doing things like a nature scavenger hunt, blowing bubbles, drawing with sidewalk chalk, gardening, or playing simple ball games. I like to keep things fun and engaging without needing to be super active all the time, so the kids can have fun and I can enjoy it too.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Even though I don’t have formal nanny experience, I believe the most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with the child. It’s essential to get to know the child, understand what they like, and engage in activities that make them happy while also teaching them boundaries. I think discipline is important too, but it should be done in a way that teaches the child rather than just scolding them. Being firm yet loving, creating fun moments, and making lasting memories are key. I also value capturing special moments for the parents so they can see their child’s growth and joy while knowing they’re in safe, caring hands.
