I love doing fun creative things with kids. Tye dye is tried and true fun, collage, drawing, building things, and anything that involves imagination and creative problem solving are ways that I enjoy engaging with kids. I am always cautious of things that are extremely messy, but having systems in place ahead of time to account for the mess usually works out well. I also love getting kids excited about playing outside. I do this by encouraging imagination and adventure. I am all about doing anything I can to get them off a screen and engage with the real world.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, most important thing about working with kids is appreciating their unique perspective on life. Kids tend to find such creative ways to relate to the world and learn through experience. Honoring and creating space for that is very important to me. I also believe that kids need structure. Creating a safe container for a kid to be creative and explore the world is something that is very fulfilling for me and them.
