More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I recently nannied for 2 separate families, one family with 5 children but i only really focused on 2 of the kids. And the other family with just one. i’ve also co taught at fairview elementary school; and tri north middle school. i’ve worked with all age groups up to 8th grade.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Tag is always a good exercise game that can boost their activity; as well as playing in water in the summer, hide and seek, sardines, and sharks and minos.
to boost their creativity and minds i love to play pretend games with cars, blocks, barbie, dolls, dress up, kitchen, etc. this can help children grow important mindsets such as empathy, understanding, and self awareness of actions.
If we want to do something that involves being inside when there’s bad weather; there’s always good old fashioned forts, pillow fights, drawing, arts and crafts, and many others.
i will not do anything a parent is uncomfortable with.

The most important part about being a nanny...
being able to make a positive impact not only on the child/children but the parents and family. i strive to invoke a personal relationship with each family. built on care and trust. if the family needed anything i’d hope they would feel comfortable ask me. i truly do love working in close knit relationships! it helps me feel more connected with the children and more comfortable in your home.
My experience with special needs children...
While in highschool i also went to trade school for elementary ed. which consisted in a course of special education and disabilities. in this class we also got to work in schools. one i chose was working with special needs middle schoolers at tri north. i learned a lot and feel like i have a good understanding with children especially with autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
most recently.. the 2 year old i was nannying was having trouble learning words. he knew a few but not many what so ever. i kept trying to teach him colors numbers and my name, that way he wouldn’t have to sit there and just say “hey!” so one of my last weeks with him, he said “i lub u emi” and i definitely cried tears of joy on my way home that day.
