A little bit about me

Greetings! I have two children of my own ages 16 and almost 11, and prior experience as a nanny in addition to an extensive background in early education. I worked in public education with a Virginia pk-6 teaching endorsement before homeschooling my youngest through kindergarten, and I’ve been in private education as an outdoor educator for the past four years. I’m a certified yoga instructor who worked with preschoolers before Covid, and have also given private and group art lessons to mixed aged children, which is another of my passions. I’m outdoorsy, and love cultivating relationships with nature and community. It’s a joy to facilitate exploration, foster curiosity and travel in wonder with children as they navigate relationships with others, themselves and the world around them. I’m looking to focus on one family and provide support and care with the same level of enthusiasm and intention I have had for my students, but on a smaller scale.
