More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I took Child Behavior & Development in high school, I spent time in the preschool creating lessons, activities and games for the kids. I also helped out with lunch and recess. I was also a student leader at Outdoor school for two years and was in charge of a group of 6th graders for the week. I have also volunteered at a few youth basketball camps in the past. I’ve babysat kids in my family, one was 3 years old and the other 5 years old. I also helped out a lot with a family friend of mine’s son. I watched him when he was 3 months old to 1 years old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love arts and crafts! I may not be the best but I do love to paint, color and overall just create things. DIY videos are my favorite things to watch on YouTube. I love sports too! I played basketball as a kid and was on the Varsity team in high school. I like to watch tv, play pretend and I can’t lie I can build some really cool forts! I love Frozen, Moana pretty much anything Disney.
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have any official certification but I was part of a program called “Peer Buddies” I would stay after school and plan activities and just hang out and do fun stuff with the kids. I also helped out at the Special Olympics for the schools a few years. My parents have worked with special needs children and adults all my life. I’ve volunteered at many events their companies have had.
