Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am a part time babysitter of 2 children, Saturdays and Sundays.
I was a paraprofessional for the Palm beach county school district [phone number hidden] school year where I worked alongside two teachers in a VPK setting. I also worked in aftercare with 8-9 year olds during this time.
I used to be a Teacher’s Aid at a Non profit organization, where I assist the head teacher in lesson planning for students in K-2 grade during the [phone number hidden] school year.
I then made a transition from the school setting to the preschool setting where I worked with infants and 1 year olds.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love arts and crafts, I am an artist so drawing, painting, crafting and building is my specialty.
I also enjoy reading, my kids I babysit for are big readers and my favorite part is creating silly voices for the characters. Anything to make them laugh lol!
I also enjoy tinkering, my kids love to build things and are very hands on. And I am a very hands on person. I enjoy building things and putting things together to make it work.
I also enjoy going on walks and going to the park with my littles as well. I like to be prepared for the Florida heat so I am a big preparer! Preparation is key to a successful shift. My littles love animals as well so a lot of fun facts knowledge do involve animals. And I am not above playing indoor sports with them, my 7 year old loves soccer so we are always playing soccer together, indoors and outdoors.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Connection is key when babysitting. If the children and family are not comfortable with your presence then you are doing something wrong. I love that my family can depend on me and I want to extend that to more families.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have the proper experience working with special needs children, however I am not above learning. I used to help care for 2 children who had specific needs in my old teacher’s classroom.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love chasing my children, I know it sounds weird, however, my children love to be chased and while being chased they create different powers for themselves and me. Along with different rules and boundaries when playing. I enjoy seeing them smile and chasing them makes them smile, it makes me wheezy but anything for that smile!
I also love coloring with my 7 year old and reading with my 4 year old. It makes me happy that they love my silly voices.
