A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Georgia, and I’m a dedicated and experienced childcare provider with over 7 years of experience working with children of all ages. I’ve worked in Montessori preschools, provided short-term care for infants and toddlers, and currently serve as a shift lead at a childcare center, so I’m comfortable leading and supporting in a wide range of situations.

I’m CPR and First Aid certified, have my own reliable transportation, and most importantly, I genuinely love being a part of children’s growth and development. I’m graduating this spring from Oregon State University with a degree in Psychology and Human Development & Family Sciences, and I’ll be starting my Master’s in Social Work in Seattle this fall.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes my current role as a shift lead at the Family Resource Center at Oregon State University, where I support neurodivergent children, children with developmental delays, and typically developing children. I work with international families and help foster communities. I help train new staff, model high-quality childcare practices, and collaborate with supervisors to ensure a nurturing, inclusive environment.
I also completed a practicum at the Relief Nursery at Old Mill Center for Children and Families, where I provided trauma-informed care for children at risk of abuse and neglect. My responsibilities included classroom support, home visits, and assisting with event planning and family engagement.
Additionally, I’ve worked in Montessori preschool classrooms and provided short-term care for infants and toddlers, giving me a strong foundation in both structured and flexible childcare settings.

Activities I enjoy doing with children include anything that sparks their curiosity and creativity! I love reading books together, doing sensory and art projects, exploring nature, and encouraging imaginative play.
