Hi there! My name is Hillary and I absolutely love working with families and caring for children! I started my career babysitting during high school. While attending college for my art degree, I worked with several families part time. These were so fun and rewarding, that I decided to pursue childcare full-time, with professional nanny positions. For over 15 years I have continued to provide families with individualized care for their children, including experience with newborns and infant twins! Providing help with transportation, overnights, nanny share and pet care are included in my detailed resume, with references available upon request. In between regular positions, I focus on occasional sitting and providing emergency/ back up care. More About Me

I possess a dedicated background exclusively in nanny and babysitting roles. Beginning with an after school gig and developing to professional part-time and full-time positions. I also continue to help with occasional babysitting and date nights.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I focus on child led playtime, and age appropriate activities. When possible, I focus on the child's wants. I encourage them to be creative and use their imagination. I will enthusiastically participate in any safe and parent approved activity that the child is feeling passionate about. I am very energetic and enjoy being outside. I like to suggest going for a walk or to a park and appreciating nature. I enjoy arts and crafts activities. Drawing an obstacle course in the driveway with chalk is a great way to combine creativity and motor skills while getting fresh air and sunshine. I always say yes when they ask to paint and take care of all the cleanup afterwards. I will read books, listen to music and dance. I like to try to keep a balance with low stimulation activities in between high energy playtime. For a longer day, I will encourage some quiet or independent playtime in the afternoon.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments came from teaching sign language. I cared for a little girl full-time from ages 3 months-2 years. She developed a large vocabulary of signs and would even sign three words together. It was so funny to see her enthusiastically signing "more cheese please" over and over when it was meal time. This girl knew what she wanted!
