I have held many positions in the childcare industry. I started as in high school as an after-school caretaker with school age children. As an adult I have worked with all ages from infant to preschool as caretaker and teacher. I have also been an assistant director at a daycare.

I love watching all ages of children learn new things. I enjoy engaging their minds through fun play and teaching. I like for children to learn with all senses. I use art, songs, dance, words and physical activities to engage with them.

I feel the most important part of being a nanny is keeping a child safe first and foremost but also being an extension of the parent(s). Being someone who is a loving, reliable and entertaining to the child while the parent(s) is/are away.

I have had little experience with special needs children. The experience I have had to limited to students with down syndrome and ADHD.

I have many moments that I have enjoyed. I love creating a bond with both children and their families. Getting to know children for their authentic selves is the most enjoyable part of being a caregiver.
