A little bit about me

Hello! I’m Iryna, a full-time nanny with 4 years of experience caring for babies from 3 months old to 4+ years, including caring for several toddlers at a local kindergarten. Caring for little ones has always felt natural to me, and children gravitate toward me.

I raised my own child, who later graduated from MIT, and I bring that love of learning to every baby I care for. Our days are full of books, songs, building blocks, and little discoveries, from colors and animal sounds to first words and first steps. I follow your routines and send photos and updates throughout the day.

I speak Russian and Ukrainian with children, perfect if you’d like your baby to grow up bilingual, and I read and write English (but don't speak it that well).

I care for every child as my own. I’m still close with almost every family I’ve worked with; they send me Christmas cards, and I’ve even helped throw first birthday parties! CPR certified, vaccinated, own car, available now.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoors: reading picture books, singing songs, building with blocks and construction toys, simple crafts and painting, and learning games for colors, shapes, and animal sounds.

Outdoors: long stroller walks, the playground, looking at flowers and naming them, watching birds and animals, and safe garden play. I adjust every activity to your baby’s age and mood.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure a child feels safe, loved, and happy every day, and making sure parents can feel completely at peace while they're away.

My experience with special needs children...

I haven’t yet worked with children with diagnosed special needs, but I’ve cared for babies with sleep difficulties, teething, illness, and very high energy. I’m patient, and I’m happy to learn and follow any care plan or guidance your family or your child’s specialists provide.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most memorable moment came with the first baby I cared for as a full time nanny. I was with her from 3 months old until she started daycare more than a year later. In her first days there I came by to check on her and see how she was adjusting. As soon as she saw me, she recognized me and reached for me, crying to come to me. It melted my heart and broke it at the same time, because I knew she needed to get used to her new routine. So for those first few days I watched from where she couldn’t see me, just to make sure she was okay. That’s when I understood how deep a bond we had built, and it’s still one of my most treasured memories.
