More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

- My most recent experience caring for children was an all day summer program with rising 5th-8th graders.
- I worked that same program during the school year after school hours.
- My full-time job after I returned home has been as a teacher’s aide in a local elementary school where I worked with grades K-6.
- I was a full-time nanny for ~1.5 years where I cared for infants & toddlers down south.
- I was a summer counselor/supervisor for a local summer youth program for 3 summers.
- I nannied a little girl during my last year of college.
- I acted as my sister’s “teacher” during quarantine when everything went virtual. She was a senior in high school with special needs at the time!
- I have been deemed the go-to sitter in my family for all of my younger cousins & close family friends.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy a variety of activities & the age really depicts what activities I will do with the kids. I am willing to drive them places in the surrounding area, if it is okay with you. Ultimately, my goal is to provide the best care for your child that will aid in their growth!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Your child is the most important thing! I feel any child should be treated as if they were my own. I want to do nothing but help your child grow into the person they are destined to be!

My experience with special needs children...

My sister has a learning disability. She is very high-functioning, but some simple tasks are very difficult for her & she has to constantly be reminded to do things that you probably wouldn’t think twice about. I shared a room with her while we were growing up! She is a very sweet girl & showed me a different light.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are so many “favorite” moments, but the first one tends to always hold the most special spot. The first girl I nannied was very special to me, indeed. We created a little friendship that I think I will always carry with me. She was a little over one year old when I started watching her. Over the course of the year, I watched her grow tremendously. She went from hardly saying a few words to carrying out full conversations with me & she developed quite the personality! She had a cousin that was also named Izzy, so she tended to call me “Big Izzy”. Unfortunately, I couldn’t watch her anymore after I moved, but I will always remember her! My first week without watching her was hard, but her new nanny told me she wore the same shoes that I typically wore & the little girl said, “Big Izzy’s shoes” when she saw them. Was a moment that made me smile!
