More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at a daycare called Auntie Portie’s daycare for 5 months! There’s two locations; trail, which is the 0-2 years old and Barlow, which is 3-5 years old:) it really helped me get experience with a wide range of ages.
I baby say my mom’s coworker’s 2 year old name Rowdy for about 4 months. I would baby sit him at her house 4 days a week from 7-4.
I worked as a nanny for a family in Portland for about half a year. She was 8 months when I started and we quickly became best friends!
I also worked at a Montessori for some time and loved the way we interacted with the kids and how we helped the kids be independent and built confidence.
I also have worked at a daycare center called Cadence Academy. I worked in the Willow classroom which is 14 to 24 months and the Lavender classroom which is 2-3 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Little ones are always on the go (if they aren’t sleeping) so I think it’s important to keep them busy in a way that is going to benefit them. I love doing art projects with kids and going on walks! I think it’s extremely important for kiddos to be outside as much as they can!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny or working in a daycare is watching the kids develop personalities. Seeing kids happy makes me happy!
The most important part about being a nanny...
working at a daycare means you meet a lot of tiny humans. A lot of tiny humans means a lot of feelings. One of my favorite moments was when a kid at my daycare and I made a very secret, special handshake because he was upset and needed a pick me up. After he gave me a big hug and went back to circle time. Later we ended up showing his parents our super awesome handshake!

My name is Mckenzie.
I have been a family nanny for over 6 years working to support families of varying needs and ages!
My career as a nanny officially began caring for a family friend’s newborn. The position was unique for me, as it provided an in to the varying levels the profession had to offer, such as house manager, travel, and ongoing education. I supported them as their family grew until I departed to further my education abroad in a creative field, later returning to the work.
From there, I’ve offered my expertise and support to families in need of the close care a nanny can provide.
I am looking for a part-time position with a family who is respectful and is looking for their nanny to be a part of the team in providing stable loving care for their little ones!
I look forward to connecting, learning more about your family and your needs, and sharing more of my experiences!
