A little bit about me

I am a VACCINATED mom of 2 young adults. I taught high school social studies in MD for 4 yrs (which required me to take several 200 level child development classes that ranged from birth - adulthood) including classes with students with disabilities. I have a bright and positive disposition and almost unlimited patience. I LOVE kids and am wistful that mine are big. I try to make every moment a learning moment and spent a year homeschooling my own kids when they were in Kindergarten and 2nd grade. During that time I used project-based learning techniques by letting my kids pick a topic that interested them and basing our curriculum around that. I graduated with my BS from an HBCU in MD with a degree focusing on African and Black History. I am an ardent believer in equity and justice. Currently, I attend American University for my M.Ed. in Education Policy. I am a veteran of 8 yrs and have 13 yrs of legal experience. I am looking to nanny because I love and connect with little ones.
