My experience with special needs children...
I’ve worked with kids on the spectrum for 6 years now, I am a registered behavior technician. In my previous position I interacted with 2 years to 12 years old diagnosed with autism and other disabilities in a private ABA Therapy (Project Brilliance) and I also work in an extended Daycare ( VIP KIDZ) by assisting them with their IEP goal as well as daily living skills, such as chores and hygiene. I also have volunteered where I discovered my passion for working with special kids . I have learned that it is important to teach appropriate play and social skills with patience, it requires perseverance and willingness to continue learning and growing.
