More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have volunteered my time at Daycare Centers nearby for scheduled private events. I have also volunteered as a chaperone to our local schools for their field trips.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing just about any activity that the child or children enjoy the most. It can be from coloring, painting,, playing board games, indoor hide-n-seek, reading or playing educational games. An important factor of mine is to keep everyone happy and busy. A top priority responsible is the children’s safety and wellbeing.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is being attentive, keeping children happy at all times, and the child's safety and wellbeing.
My experience with special needs children...
Currently, I have very little experience with special needs children especially autism. In the past, I did work for a family with a six year old boy who was autistic. Although, the boy was very attentive but would often get distracted. The family’s decision was to find a more experienced or licensed person to care for him.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment with children is when we would dance to children’s pop music and do some funny dancing moves.
Another favorite nanny moment was when I would bring the game called, “TWISTER”
A brief explanation & brief directions of the game are as follows:
In the game box- (1) dice & (1) large plastic floor mat that has numbers and the instruction underneath the number. You start the game by choosing the players. Roll the dice and it will land on a number. The same number will be listed on the floor mat. Follow the instructions underneath the number. The game is about body parts and stretching. Towards the end of the game, you always end up in an awkward position and you time the person to how many seconds, without laughing, can stay in that same position. The one that scored with the highest seconds is the winner.
With having 15 years of experience and I would bring the game “TWISTER”. Just about every child or children I have played with had the best time & laughter.
