Hi! I’m Kay. I have over 10 years of professional childcare experience, working with children from infancy through the school-age years. Since moving to Indianapolis, I’ve been with the same family for nearly six years, caring for their three girls and becoming a trusted part of their family along the way.

As the girls have grown, my role has naturally evolved from hands-on childcare into more of a family assistant/household management position. My experience includes managing schedules and activities, school pickups, errands, grocery shopping, laundry, light household tasks, meal prep and keeping the day-to-day details of a busy household running smoothly.

I’m dependable, organized, patient and very comfortable jumping in wherever a family needs an extra set of hands. I truly value building long-term relationships with the families I work with and hope to find another family where I can become a trusted part of their team.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love following a child’s natural curiosity and helping them learn new things in a way that feels fun, encouraging and age-appropriate.

Reading is also something I especially love sharing with kids. With younger children, I enjoy helping them discover the fun in books and supporting them as they learn to read. With older kids, I love helping them find books that actually match their interests and get them excited about reading on their own.

I’m also always happy to get outside, explore somewhere new, work on a project, play games and I’m a great fort builder.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Two fold. It’s the relationship I make with the family so they can trust me to take care of their babies. It’s also the connection with the children to make sure they feel comfortable, know they’re being taken care of and enjoy the time they spend with their caretaker.
