I was an active student cadet in the child development classes my high school offered. This allowed me to work closely with various ages of children infant - pre-k. Along with theses classes I also took the the pre requisite developmental class.

My experience with special needs children...

The toddler room in the high school had a young boy with autism. I had the opportunity to spend a few months time caring for him as well as planning learning activities, helping him with lunch, and nap time. This showed me a deeper level of patience and understanding not everyone can communicate the same way.
