A little bit about me

Hi! I am a fun-loving nanny with over a decade of experience in childcare. I have worked independently as a private family nanny for many families and I've also worked as a church nursery teacher for a total of four years. I started babysitting when I was 11 and since then have never stopped - I find it super easy to connect with kids. I have experience caring for children of all age groups from newborns to teens. I have had jobs with many unique requirements and have always welcomed learning opportunities where I could adapt to specific needs and gain new skills and knowledge about how to provide the best care to the families I care for. Though I don't take myself too seriously and love play time, I do take my role as a caregiver very seriously. For me this means safety always comes first at all times. I am always striving to be better which is why I'm taking classes on child development and working on my Child Development Associate certificate.

I have worked as a gymnastics teacher, a lifeguard, a nursery teacher, and a volunteer tutor for kids with developmental disabilities.

Being outside and playing, playing pretend, doing arts and crafts, learning about interesting things, and playing games!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Safety, of course! Being able to keep kids safe and have plans for what to do if something goes wrong is most important. After that, being nurturing and aware of a child’s needs and feelings so that you help and don’t hurt, after that is making sure you are helping with healthy child development by using teachable moments to help children understand the importance of rules and being nice to others, and after that is encouraging creativity, having fun, and making learning fun!
