A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Aaliyah but you can call me Leah for short, and I’m interested in taking care of your children when you need it most!

I’m currently in Washington but I’ll be flying back home on July 18th and arriving on the 19th. I don’t have a license which means I can’t drive myself just yet, but that doesn’t mean I won’t accept any opportunities as soon as I have my own transportation!

I’m truly just feeling this out and seeing what direction it takes me in, because I haven’t been home in almost two years and I wanted to seek out job opportunities before coming back. And as far as babysitting goes I’m a pretty flexible person when it comes to kids of any age! If you’re more interested in someone who’s able to drive themselves I completely understand, but I appreciate anyone who’s willing to be patient with me as I get myself back on my feet again. <3

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I don’t have “certified” experience with children, but I have babysat and taken care of my own younger siblings since they were in diapers and have learned how to entertain young children between the ages 2-7. I can definitely manage!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Any outdoor activities such as sports or hiking/taking walks, swimming (if there’s access to a pool), indoor such as drawing or painting, reading depending on the age, watching movies or TV shows, playing any type of games, cooking or baking if the kids are interested, I’m very flexible when it comes to children and their entertainment!

The most important part about being a nanny...

This goes back to my favorite moments when taking care of kids, my goal is to gain your children’s trust and to make sure they feel comfortable enough to express themselves around me. And even if they’re a little shy, I have no problem with working around that wall and helping them break out of their shell! No matter how long the process takes, because I’m a pretty flexible person and I truly believe in healthy relationships with children I have no family relation to <3

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve never experienced taking care of children with special needs, but I am more than willing to try if it means learning how to through this nanny website!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments when taking care of kids is making them laugh and getting to know them personally, because my goal is to make sure any child that I’m taking care of is comfortable with me and enjoys having me around, even if I’m not family. That makes the experience 10x better for me if I can gain their trust firsthand!
