Well to start, I have two children of my own that are fabulous. I’ve cared for children in all different environments, including- hospitals, schools, daycare (in-home and business), while traveling and camping. I’ve done overnight care, including weekly stays.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

List of my favorites to do with kids-
Anything outdoors!- parks. Riding bikes. Going for walks/hikes. Discovering wildlife/plants. Swimming. Kites.
Literally anything and everything you could do outdoors. I love teaching and watching kids of all ages learn and discover new talents. If there’s a way to learn from an activity or event, I will always find the way. While making it fun, exciting and entertaining. I have a fantastic imagination and honestly can make/create things and stuff out of everything!

The most important part about being a nanny...

This could easily turn into a short story answer, lol. I’ll try to make it less than that. I’ll go ahead and say, what seems to be common sense to me…. The children’s safety and surroundings; which would include my relationship with the children and of course, my relationship with the parents/family. Always 110% honesty! Being trustworthy, respectful, and responsible. While constantly giving/showing genuine love/care for each other. Always being aware and alert-. (24hrs/7days week) while keeping the vibe happy and healthy.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve cared for all ages of special needs children/kids/teenagers/adults. I’m very familiar with medical devices/equipment. I have experience in giving medications, first aid, CPR. I’m also trained with IV medications and equipment. All types of learning abilities, from preschool to senior citizen level. I am very much aware of individuals and their limits. .

The most important part about being a nanny...

Oh my goodness! I definitely have more than just one favorite nanny moment. This could be a “never-ending” response, lol. I’ll share one of my MANY FAVORITE moments. I was nannying 3 kiddos at the time for this family. Their house was in the exact middle of the cul-de-sac/ neighborhood. Whenever we had a chance to play outside, weather permitting, we would. There were quite a few kids in the neighborhood of all ages. I remember the neighbor girl who was best friends with the middle child of the family I nannying for. She had just had her 8th birthday and had been tirelessly trying to ride on her own without training wheels. Being that the only other kids with training wheels on were 3 years younger than her, this was extremely important to her. She was a bit shy personally wise to start, so I knew it may be a challenge. Side note- I love a challenge and will do/give my all to beat em.
Long story short-on day 2 just before she had to go in for the night, she mastered it! Huge smiles!
