I raised my daughter (who just turned 30), and was also a nanny through Care.com previously. I worked for a wonderful family that had 2 beautiful girls that I loved like my own. I was with them for 3 years. The oldest was 4 months old when I started. I have experience in child care since I was about 12 years old, watching my nieces and nephews. I then was the babysitter of choice in our neighborhood. I have babysat for friends who had children throughout the years; one child was developmentally delayed, and I was the only person besides her mother who could hold her when she was an infant. I have an Associate's in Liberal Arts with my major being Education. I have worked for many years in school districts in Ohio, and Arizona, and have been a tutor/mentor and a church camp counselor. More recently, I have worked in a school as a tutor for a program. Children are precious and I care very deeply that they are to be nurtured and supported so that they may grow up and succeed in their lives. The feeling that I get when I can help them learn and grow is priceless. It is a very rewarding experience. I am currently looking for a nanny position with an infant, but of course, I am open to other ages. I would just like to find a family I could become close with before school age, as time goes too fast with kids.
