A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Lucas, I’m a 25-year-old French male nanny living in the Bay Area. I’ve been working with children since I was 18, and I’ve spent the last two years as a full-time au pair in the U.S. caring for multiple kids.

I’m very reliable, dynamic, and caring, and I love keeping children active through sports, outdoor activities, and creative play. I’m also a musician and singer-songwriter, and I enjoy sharing music and creativity with kids in a fun and positive way.

Families describe me as calm, trustworthy, and engaging, and I always focus on creating a safe, happy, and structured environment for children to grow.

I’d love to join a family where I can bring energy, kindness, and creativity every day.

Lucas

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as a children’s activity leader in schools and summer camps in France from 2018 to 2024, where I was responsible for groups of children of different ages, organizing activities, sports, creative workshops, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
In addition to that, I have been an au pair in the United States for the past two years, taking care of three boys full-time. I handle daily routines such as school drop-offs and pick-ups, meals, homework, playtime, bath time, and bedtime. This combination of professional group care and one-on-one family care has given me strong experience, patience, and adaptability with children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being active and creative with kids. I enjoy doing sports, going to the park, hiking, riding bikes, and playing outdoor games. I also love creative activities like drawing, crafts, music, and singing. Since I’m a musician, I often introduce kids to music in a fun way. I also enjoy reading stories and creating little projects that help kids learn while having fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and stable environment where children feel supported and valued. A nanny should not only take care of children’s basic needs, but also help them grow emotionally, build confidence, and feel heard. Trust, patience, and consistency are key to helping kids thrive.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs through a ULIS classroom (special education program) in a French school. I worked alongside teachers supporting children with learning difficulties, behavioral challenges, and developmental differences. My role was to help them stay engaged, support them during activities, and make sure they felt included and safe.

This experience taught me how important patience, structure, and positive reinforcement are. I learned how to adapt activities to each child’s abilities, communicate calmly, and create an environment where every child feels understood and respected.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are when I see children become more confident and happy because they feel safe and understood. One of my favorite things is when a child who was shy or struggling starts opening up, laughing, and trusting me. Those moments when a kid runs to show me something they’re proud of or just wants to talk about their day mean everything to me.
