I’ve had several meaningful experiences caring for children. At the JCC, I worked as a camp counselor with kids ages 5 to 14, many of whom were neurodiverse. I helped lead daily activities, adjusted plans to meet each child’s needs, and used positive behavior strategies to support them. Whether it was helping a camper through a tough moment or just making sure they felt included and safe, I always tried to create a space where every child could enjoy themselves. I’m excited to return to this role again this summer.
I’ve also babysat for multiple families, taking care of kids of different ages. Through that, I’ve learned how to stay calm, be flexible, and connect with kids one-on-one—whether we were playing, doing homework, or settling in for bedtime.

I love doing anything that makes kids feel happy, creative, and confident. One of my favorite things is sitting down for arts and crafts—there’s something so special about watching kids turn their ideas into something colorful and unique. I also really enjoy playing outside with them, whether it’s tag, a made-up game, or just running around and being silly.
Story time is another favorite. I love reading with kids and seeing how into the story they get—asking questions, making predictions, or laughing at the funny parts. And honestly, some of the best moments are just the simple ones—talking during snack time, working on a puzzle together, or listening to what’s on their mind.
