Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in a pre-school and daycare since August of this year. Previously I was an education assistant for 1st-8th grade, including children with special needs. I have also been a babysitter since I was 11, working with children 2mo-15 years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love creating crafts and science projects for children. I often do themes for days/weeks depending on how often I'll see them. Some examples are my volcanoes, done outside with vinegar and baking soda. I have also created boats with kids and we've potted/planted succulents. I often focus on teaching with stimulation, using toys and activities to my advantage. Outside I like to plan scavenger hunts, nature "walks" (especially if I habe magnifying glasses) and bike riding if the children are old enough!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Creating and nurturing a loving and warm environment. Being part of the family and being able to be there no matter what for the kids and families that I work with.
